Privacy Policy

Nexora is an independent online platform that provides free web-based tools for working with PDFs, images, text, calculations, QR codes and barcodes, developer utilities, and network diagnostics.

Nexora is designed around a browser-first approach: the majority of its tools process data entirely within your own browser. A limited set of tools require server-side processing or external services to function, and this policy describes those cases openly and specifically.

This policy covers the website operated by Nexora. It explains what information is processed, where it is processed, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Nexora website and all tools and pages available through it. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that Nexora tools may contact in order to perform a task, or to any websites you visit by following links from Nexora.

Nexora does not have user accounts, and it does not collect personal information from you at the point of use. The information described in this policy is processed only in connection with the specific tool or page you use.

The information processed by Nexora depends entirely on which tool you use. In general terms, this can include:

• Files you choose to process — such as PDF documents, images, or other files you load into a tool.
• Text you enter — such as text to transform, values to calculate, or content to encode into a QR code or barcode.
• Lookup queries — such as a domain name, IP address, or URL you ask a network tool to investigate.

Nexora does not create accounts, does not collect names, email addresses, or payment details, and does not require registration to use any tool.

The majority of Nexora's tools process data entirely in your browser, on your own device. This includes most PDF tools (such as merging, splitting, compressing, and editing), most image tools, text tools, calculators, developer utilities, and QR/barcode generation and decoding.

When a tool processes data in your browser, the files and text you provide are not uploaded to Nexora's servers. Processing, previews, and downloads all happen locally, and the data does not leave your device as part of the tool's operation.

One browser-side tool worth noting: the PDF OCR (text extraction) tool uses the Tesseract OCR engine, whose engine files and English language model are loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network. The document or image content you process remains in your browser during OCR — it is not sent to jsDelivr or to any OCR service.

A limited set of tools require server-side processing. When you use these tools, the information needed to perform the task is transmitted to Nexora's server:

• Photo QR sharing — your photo is uploaded to Nexora's server so it can be shared through a QR code (see Section 6).
• PDF Protect and PDF Unlock — your PDF file and password are transmitted to Nexora's server and processed in memory (see Section 7).
• Network lookups — the domain, IP address, or URL you choose to look up is sent to Nexora's server, which then queries the necessary public registry or service (see Section 8).

For these tools, only the information required to complete the task is transmitted. Nexora does not collect anything beyond what the tool itself needs.

The Photo QR tool lets you upload a photo and generate a QR code that links to it. This is one of the few Nexora features that requires server-side storage, because the photo must be hosted somewhere that the QR code can point to.

Here is exactly how it works:

• The photo is uploaded to Nexora's server only when you choose to create a share link — not before.
• The maximum upload size is 10 MB.
• You can set an expiry for the share, from 1 hour up to 720 hours (30 days). If you do not set one, a default applies.
• The photo is stored temporarily for the purpose of sharing. Original file names are not stored or displayed; each upload is identified by a randomly generated identifier (UUID).

The PDF Protect tool adds password protection to a PDF, and the PDF Unlock tool removes basic restrictions from a protected PDF. Because password-based PDF encryption requires specialized processing, these two tools run on Nexora's server:

• Your PDF file is transmitted to Nexora's server, along with the password you provide (for Protect) or enter (for Unlock).
• Processing occurs in memory. These API routes do not intentionally write your file or password to disk, and no copy is retained after the request completes.
• The processed PDF is returned to your browser for download.

Please be aware that using these tools means your PDF and password are transmitted to Nexora's server over the internet. They are not processed solely in your browser. You should not upload PDFs containing highly sensitive information unless you are comfortable with this.

Nexora's network tools let you look up information about domains, IP addresses, and websites. Depending on the tool, the lookup query is sent either to Nexora's server or directly to an external service:

• WHOIS, ASN, and website checks (status, headers, SSL): the domain, IP, or URL you enter is sent to Nexora's server, which then queries the external registry or service needed (such as rdap.org) and returns the result.
• DNS lookups: the domain name you enter is sent directly to a public DNS-over-HTTPS service — currently Cloudflare's resolver (cloudflare-dns.com) with Google Public DNS (dns.google) as a fallback.
• My IP and IP lookups: to show your public IP address or to look up information about an IP address, a request is made to a public IP information service — currently ipify (api.ipify.org / api64.ipify.org), ipwho.is, ipinfo.io, or freeipapi.com.

These services receive only the query needed to perform the lookup (such as the domain or IP address you entered). Nexora does not control how those third-party services handle the queries they receive; see Section 9.

The following third-party services may receive the information shown below when you use the corresponding tool. Nexora uses these services only to perform the task you asked for; they are not used for advertising or tracking.

Each service's own privacy policy (linked above) governs how it handles the queries it receives. Nexora is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

Nexora uses your browser's local storage mechanisms for a small number of convenience features. This data is stored only in your own browser, on your own device:

• localStorage — theme preference: your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser so it persists between visits.
• sessionStorage — scientific calculator history: your recent calculation history is kept for the duration of your browser session.

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to Nexora's servers. You can clear it at any time using your browser's settings.

Nexora currently sets no cookies. There are no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies are set by the platform.

Because Nexora sets no cookies, no cookie-consent banner is currently required for the application's own behavior. If Nexora introduces cookies or analytics in the future, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated, and appropriate consent mechanisms will be added as required.

Nexora does not use analytics or tracking services. There is no Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, Sentry, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel, or any similar service embedded in the platform, and no tracking scripts are loaded on any page.

Nexora does not build profiles of visitors, does not track your activity across websites, and does not sell or share personal information with advertisers (Nexora does not run advertising).

Nexora does not have user accounts. There is no registration, no login, and no session system. All tools are usable without creating an account, and Nexora does not maintain a user profile database.

Because there are no accounts, there is nothing to sign in to, and no account data to lose or reset.

Retention depends on how the data was processed:

• Browser-processed files and text: never stored by Nexora. They exist only in your browser and are discarded when you close the tab or clear your browser data.
• PDF Protect/Unlock files: processed in memory and not intentionally persisted to disk by these API routes.
• Photo QR uploads: stored temporarily as described in Section 6, with expiry-based and manual deletion.

If you believe an uploaded photo share needs to be removed, you can delete it manually from the Photo QR tool, or contact Nexora using the details in Section 20.

The Nexora application does not intentionally log or persist IP addresses. IP addresses may be read transiently in memory for rate-limiting purposes on certain server-side routes, and are not written to any log or database.

Like any website, Nexora is hosted on infrastructure provided by a third-party hosting provider. Depending on the deployment infrastructure, the hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information in its own server logs — such as IP addresses, user agents, request times, and requested URLs — as part of normal operation. Nexora does not control these infrastructure-level logs.

The details of hosting-level logging depend on the deployment infrastructure and cannot be fully determined from the Nexora application itself. For specific questions about infrastructure logging, contact Nexora via the details in Section 20.

Nexora applies a set of baseline security measures to the platform:

• Security headers are applied to responses, including a Content Security Policy (CSP) that restricts where resources can be loaded from.
• Clickjacking protection via frame-ancestors restrictions.
• Source maps are disabled in production builds, and development-only overlays are absent from production builds.
• No API keys or secrets are embedded in the client-side source code; the third-party services Nexora uses are keyless public services.
• File uploads are size-limited and type-checked.

No website can guarantee absolute security. Nexora does not claim to be "100% secure", does not claim that processing is "completely anonymous", and does not claim "zero data collection" or "zero third-party processing" — this policy describes exactly what is and is not collected and processed.

Transmission to and from the platform is protected by standard HTTPS encryption in production deployments, consistent with current web standards.

Nexora is a general-purpose tool platform and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Nexora does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the platform does not collect personal information at all in the traditional sense — no accounts, no registration, no profile data — there is no separate data set for children's information.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Nexora in a manner covered by this policy, please contact Nexora using the details in Section 20 so the matter can be reviewed.

Nexora pages may contain links to third-party websites (for example, the privacy policy pages of the services listed in Section 9). These links are provided for your convenience and information.

Nexora does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. You should review the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit.

Nexora may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, in applicable law, or in how data is processed. When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.

If a change is significant — for example, introducing cookies, analytics, or a new form of data processing — Nexora will make the updated policy clearly available on this page before the change takes effect. Continued use of Nexora after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
